Osei begins his military journey at a United States Army training camp, driven by years of discipline and prior training in Jamaica. Focused, reserved, and relentless, he quickly distinguishes himself through physical endurance, combat skill, and an uncompromising work ethic.
During training, Osei meets fellow recruit Makaeda, whose determination and confidence mirror his own. Though their personalities differ, a quiet respect forms between them as they endure the camp’s brutal regimen together, including close-quarters combat and hand-to-hand training.
Osei’s intense dedication, however, begins to create friction within the unit. His refusal to socialise, combined with consistently outperforming his peers, causes resentment to grow among the other soldiers. What some see as discipline, others interpret as arrogance.
Tensions finally boil over when David, angered by Osei’s perceived attitude and growing reputation, confronts him after training. The situation escalates into a physical altercation, forcing Osei to defend himself using newly learned combat techniques — drawing both attention and controversy within the camp.
As admiration and hostility spread in equal measure, Osei earns a reputation that sets him apart from the rest of the unit, unknowingly placing him on a path that will challenge not only his strength, but his identity as a soldier.
